When it comes to new technology, you can always think about how it benefits society in terms of science, or professionalism, or even social order. But, every once in awhile you just need to kick back and relax, and that’s why sometimes it’s just fun to think how technology has benefited the entertainment industry, and specifically, how it has affected entertainment analysis. Stay with me, here – think of how computer processing has allowed the analysis of entertainment to allow us to appreciate many of our hobbies that much more.

Think about how analyzing betting odds is more intricate, and how we can get immediate stats from sporting events, and how athletes can use tech to analyze their movements and get better at their games, and how with all the new video tech running all the time, we can use TV video monitors to check how accurate referees are during events. All of these things are thanks to new tech being up and running!

Analyzing Betting Odds

Hobbyist or even professional gambling online is definitely something that you can have different approaches too. But, for the person interested in the numerically detailed sides of things, there are ways that you can use tech to analyze betting odds in a way that you can compare possibilities of house advantage. Even in a tech-savvy world, you should never bet more than you can lose on anything, but it can be interesting to have a set of numbers behind your decisions rather than just gut feelings. Many times, the tech aspect of this analysis is easier to work with online than in person, so that’s a consideration as well.

Finding the Stats In Sports

If you watch baseball or football on television, then you know how much more interesting the game has become since the onset of Statcast and other measuring and analytic tools. You can see bat speeds, acceleration speeds, points of contact, grids of every different possible persuasion – and all of it is lined up perfectly for you and analyzed real-time. It doesn’t ever really matter the sport anymore – any time there’s a camera angle and the right software, awesome information is available for you to appreciate the game more.

Wearable Tech For Athletes

In terms of technological analysis, you don’t get much more detailed than wearing sensors to determine movement, posture, speed, and even heat dissipation! With the right apps attached to the right clothes, athletes are taking tech analysis to a new level in order to up their game by inches, pounds, and miles per hour.

Checking the Referees

Yes, part of the fun at events might be yelling at the refs because you think their calls were bad, but in many instances, you really want to know what accurate calls should be. And technology is there to the rescue! How many times per game do you see ‘video replays’ in order to check the calls? That is the epitome of entertainment analysis of the present capability.
