social mediaSometimes you may just think of social media as a time waster, but it can do a ton of good things for your life. You can even use it to organize your life. Facebook is a great asset both personally and in businesses. You can also use other social media sites to organize things. Here are some tips.

Look For Colleges And Jobs

You can use social media as a job hunting tool and you can also use social media to help you pick the right college or technical school. You can keep track of the businesses you’re interested in working with by following their pages. You might even be able to find out if they are hiring by being a fan of their Facebook page.

You can also follow your favorite business on LinkedIn and find jobs there as well. Even if you’re still a college student, LinkedIn is the place to be in order to build your career and find the perfect job.

Plan Your Wedding

You can use social media to plan your wedding. While it might seem a little tacky to invite people to your wedding via a Facebook event page, you could use it for an easier (and cheaper) save the date. You can use social media to learn about the businesses you’re going to want to work with when it comes to your wedding planning too.

Invest some time in Pinterest when it comes to wedding planning. It’s a great place to categorize all of your ideas for dresses, table decor, and more. It’s especially useful if you intend to DIY your wedding too.

Come Up With Projects For You Or The Kids

Social media will also help you learn and come up with new ideas. If you want to learn to play guitar you can find videos to teach you how to do it on YouTube. You can also make and share your own videos of your learning process.

Pinterest is a great place to organize art ideas, crafting ideas, and even writing ideas if you like to create your own stories. Organize all of your interests in pinning boards that are easy to get back to.

Document Your Life In Photos

Instead of leaving all your photos on your phone or camera, or filling up your computer’s hard drive with them, you can use social media as a way to both share and organize the photos of your life. Facebook allows you to share a good amount of photos in your albums.

There are some sites made just for photos that are on the lines of social media as well and let you share what you’ve posted with others. Instagram is a great site for taking and sharing (and even editing) photos.
