When it comes to planning a big event, such as a milestone birthday, engagement or wedding, there are so many things to think about! One of the biggest things to keep in mind is what sort of furniture and accessories you are going to use for your event.

The design of your venue will set the theme for your event so it is important to go with something that you absolutely love! There are so many options available, almost too many, so you will definitely be able to find something that works for you.

Here’s a few ideas to get you started. If you are thinking about hosting an indoor event, the main draw card is going to be the table setting. It will be the place where your guests spend most of their time, eating, drinking and catching up, before they hit the dance floor of course. It is important to create a space which is stylish, inviting and comfortable. Pictured below is a great example of a very classic,  traditional styled theme. The round tables with the white table cloth and padded chairs makes for a very luxurious setting.

Another great theme for an indoors event is shabby-chic. This works perfectly if you are going for a more relaxed, casual feel for your event. This type of design is great for the  younger generation, may it be a 21st birthday party, engagement party or the likes. The warehouse-feel gives off a feeling of exclusivity as well as creating a very laid back vibe so your guests can focus on having a good time.

Now, for something a little different, if you are hosting an outdoors event you have the chance to create a really personalised theme. Because you will inevitably be working with a blank canvas you really can let your imagination run wild. You can go for a relaxed garden vibe – like the picture below – or you can go all out and make your guests feel as though they are on a tropical island. Outdoors events are perfect during summer as you can transition from day to night without any hassles.

As you can see by just these three examples, there are products and accessories out there which can suit even the most exclusive tastes. Whether your event is indoors or outdoors, you want to create a relaxed, stylish, modern or classic vibe, there will be something out there to suit. Just make sure you take your time in choosing products that you love! The pieces shown in the post can be hired from Place Settings.
