I just downloaded the new Jelly app from the app store. I like the cover photo on the app, it says point, shoot, ask.
Sounds like it could come in handy right. Could Jelly be the next Twitter? It combines the networking and content sharing ability of Twitter, with the questions and answers ability of a Quora.
Sean Smith wrote a great article about it where he says, think educating, not marketing.
There is a real potential in this app, but you first have to get your mind out of what you know and into what you can learn. One of the best uses of it that I have seen, so far, was one where a math teacher on one end of the country helped a student on the other end of the country with her math problem. She posted a picture of her math formula with the question “what am I doing wrong?”
From the Jelly blog.
Humanity is connected like never before. In fact, recent white papers have concluded that the proverbial “six degrees of separation” is now down to four because of social networking and mobile phones. It’s not hard to imagine that the true promise of a connected society is people helping each other.
A noble quest right!
