With so many organizations using social media within their marketing mix, it may feel impossible to get noticed. This isn’t necessarily the case though and there are many things a business can do to stand out.

This article shares ten great tips for being more productive when using social media as a business. The first one is probably one of the best tips: you don’t have to use social media just because everyone else is. If you realize it’s going to take too much time or be too expensive to outsource, then there is absolutely nothing wrong with sticking to marketing that works for your business.

Another important tip the author points out, which I definitely agree with, is that you don’t have to be on every social channel. Measure what works best on which social platforms and stick with those. Another tip is to be consistent with your social media postings. Your followers start counting on you to post certain content regularly so don’t let them down.
