Every small business owner should understand the basics of SEO (Search Engine Optimization). More and more people are turning to the Internet to search for products and solutions. Ranking high in searches often makes a big difference in these people finding you online or not.

This article covers some of the main SEO terms and concepts that small businesses need to know and understand. The author, Mike LaLonde, splits them into three categories: (1) On-page factors, (2) Off-page factors and (3) Technical factors. I liked this article because it covers a complicated subject in a way that is easy to absorb. It is also very useful information for small businesses.

  • Thanks for sharing the link! We shouldn’t forget SEO is not just about building links across the web but we have to build our website that is optimized and designed to capture search results, so we have to get technical when publishing our content.

Thank you, Christine. The more a small business knows about SEO, the more success it will have in this increasingly technical online world. I appreciate your insights!
