New Pivot Series Please Like Me

On August 1, 2013, the Pivot channel launched. The channel hopes to target generation Y or the millennial generation. Evan Shapiro, president of Pivot, says, “The problem is that the TV industry doesn’t give them anything they want to see.”

Pivot is bringing back some favorite shows including The Little Mosque and Friday Night Lights. The channel also offers a variety of new shows and documentaries including a documentary on the 99%. TV Shows include Raising McCain and Jersey Strong. Both premiere on September 14th.

Shapiro concluded, “It’s a generation that’s aware, involved and wants to make the world better. It’s the next greatest generation.”
