It seems as though companies have become obsessed with measuring every bit of data they collect on social media. From follower number fluctuations to mentions, they try to put a dollar sign on everything.
However, as Jonathan Payne contends, when you just focus on the numbers and not the reason(s) behind those numbers, you end up wasting precious time and energy.
