San Francisco-based Scoop.it — which provides a social curation tool that allows users to collect and publish online content — has raised $2.6 million from existing investors Partech International, Elaia Partners, IXO Private Equity and Orkos Capital. The funding gives the company $13.6 million in total capitalization since it was launched about three years ago. Guillaume Decugis, Scoop.it co-founder and CEO, tells peHUB that unrelated to the funding, the company recently added to its board Ro Choy, a Silicon Valley veteran, former COO of Formspring and current Chief Revenue Officer of BitTorrent Inc.
