3 Questions You Should Ask Before Debating “Black Hat” Tactics
Share

Might I just first point out if you have not heard of Geekless Tech before, definitely take a hop and a skip over to their website and read their articles. Nice humor added to some really well written articles. One of my favorite places to stop and read.

Ok onto the meat of this article repost. Have you ever accused someone of violating terms of service in Google? Have you ever caught yourself doing something unethical? This area of violation of ethics has become a hot debate with terms such as “black hat” and “white hat” being thrown around.

This article give you three questions you should consider before accusing someone of violating a term or condition of Google. (The author sticks with Google because honestly most of us use this predominantly.) What I love from the author is points that basically we have ALL violated Google’s ToS at some point, but are we willing to admit to it? Or would we just call that creative marketing tactics?

So who’s side are you on after reading this article? Black Hat, White Hat, or even Grey Hat! Or do you personally think people have way to much time on their hands to be debating this?

My personal view: We are ALL human and we will ALL violate the ToS at some point. If Google catches you, then you were doing something wrong. End of story.
