The tide is beginning to turn on the journey towards making sustainable, clean aviation fuel a commercial reality.

Virgin Atlantic and LanzaTech are celebrating winning the 2013 Observer Ethical Awards, taking home the Business Initiative category for their partnership to commercialise sustainable, low-carbon aviation biofuels. This is one award we are really proud to win.

Meanwhile LanzaTech, who we work with developing low-carbon aviation fuels from waste gases, have been named one of the world’s top sustainable solutions in the prestigious Sustainia 100.

These awards highlight the potential for this technology to have a huge positive impact upon not just the aviation industry but the world at large.
