Share

Are you freelancing, or looking to start in freelancing? I hope you are using LinkedIn because according to FreeLance Folder, it is a great social media platform for you to be on.

This article points out 10 reasons why freelancers should be on LinkedIn. You should know that there are MANY reasons to be on LinkedIn, but these are some major points.

My favorite reasons from this list-

  • Visual Portfolio-for graphic designers and photographers this is a perfect feature to show off your skills. A personal gallery of your best work in one platform.
  • Courses- What specific courses have you taken in college or within furthering your education in your field? You can list them out and highlight the important ones.
  • Largest Influence of Corporations- LinkedIn is still highly popular among corporations, not so much small businesses. If you are looking to gain employment with high ranking corporations, this is where your market it.

I know I do not use LinkedIn as much as I should. This article gave me some great ideas to add some pizazz to my profile, and reminds me I should not just let my LinkedIn profile hang by the wayside!
