Do you have to be a great writer to be a great blogger?

Short Answer: No. Long answer: It takes more than just writing a few sentences to become a good blogger.

I think Mark Schaefer hits the nail on the head with this topic. You do not have to be a great writer to be a blogger, but it does take time and effort to improve upon your blogging technique. I know I learn more and more about blogging with each article I create.

So what are some tips Mark offers for newbie bloggers?

  • Read it Outloud- just like your English teacher told you to do in high school!
  • Cut, Cut, Cut- we are a wordy people!
  • Don’t Just Write, Re-Write- read it over, and rewrite it from a different angle
