If you are like me you have been meaning to do a Google Hangout for a while now. Not knowing how to do a hangout, or how to get started can present a challenge. As with anything else there is always a learning curve. Thankfully this author does do Hangout’s frequently and as you will read was thoughtful enough to put together a how to guide. Yep you read it right. This is how to get started with Google Hangout’s. Enjoy!
I use Hangouts on a daily basis and think they are fantastic, they’re easily accessible, fast and simple. You can have a face-to-face conversation with someone on the other side of the world while at your desk, or walking down the street – plus, it’s free.
Google+ is a very powerful social network – as well as being the social spine that underpins everything Google does, it integrates Google’s business applications such as Google Apps with a social layer, enabling social communication in a business context. Anyone who has a Gmail account, be it personal or professional, has free access to Google+.
What is a Google+ Hangout?
A Google+ hangout is a video conference between you and either 10 or 14 others Google+ users (depending on whether you’re using the free version or Google Apps for Business). It allows you to catch up face-to-face, share documents and collaborate with them in real time, no matter where in the world you are.
