Influencers, who are they? You can find influencers at Klout, Kred, Brandify and PeerIndex. They are highly active in social media. You’ll find them on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. They are brand evangelists, helping move a particular brand’s message forward.
These are people who can help your business by spreading the word about you and your services. So how do you work with major brand influencers? In the post, Are You Targeting the Wrong Social Influencers? 3 Mistakes Brands are Making, by Allison Boyer (writer for Blog World), owner of Blog Zombies, you’ll learn how to avoid the three mistakes.
One of the points I take to heart is to check out your social influencer and their behavior online. You don’t want someone promoting your brand who may also be promoting a product or brand that’s not in alliance with your brand. You also want to watch out for an influencer who is only about the money. They are the ones who will compromise your brand very quickly. No one likes the “anything for money” guy.
So, are you looking for brand influencers to help you get your message out there? If so, I’d love to hear about your experiences.
