Starting with Inbound Marketing:  Do What Matters Most First.

There are times as a business owner that you have to decide what the most important things are, do what matters most first, especially when it comes to starting with inbound marketing.  Call it prioritizing if you will, but to me it’s more like triage because it feels like I have a missing limb when I can’t get something done that I really want to do – it’s painful, and it keeps me up at night sometimes.   No, holding off on a marketing platform isn’t going to save a life, but I know that there’s a lost opportunity cost attached to unfinished projects and I hate that.

Dad used to always tell me to choose incremental improvement instead of waiting for delayed perfection.  But I’m a bit of a perfectionist, and “good enough” isn’t usually good enough for me, at least not when it comes to something that I’m as passionate about as my business.  When I started Dragonfly I knew exactly what I needed to do, I made a list, and I started off to build my website and social channels.  It’s been more than a year, and there are still things on that list that I feel are just as important today as I did then, but I just haven’t had the time to implement yet.
