Online distribution company TuneCore has been available in the U.S. for about seven years, and it has been hailed by many indie/DIY artists who are unsigned and wanting to sell their music. The company has been lead by former CEO Jeff Price for the past seven years, but recently the board fired him. Though he might be a little bitter at this point, Price made a compelling argument in an interview with Billboard about the current leadership of TuneCore. “It is concerning to me to have a non-qualified individual running the company.” Price is referring to Gill Cogan, a former managing partner who has assumed the responsibilities of Price.
