Have you every noticed how each day we open ourselves to the freedom of dialogue when we travel our “world” gets a little bigger and the distance between people we know a little smaller? Every conversation diminishes the old adage of six degrees of separation, perhaps even narrowing it down to two degrees if you travel a lot to many places. I’ve lost track of the times I have traveled abroad only to discover someone I have met or known or finding a common person that myself and a stranger know. There is also the weird occurrences of the “doppelganger” that seems to be known every major country I have visited…someone who must be my twin or perhaps over time has faded in another memory and my face & mannerisms remind them of that person.
