I’m fortunate enough to get to work with Gabriel, who has a lot of experience when it comes to issues such as databases, hacking, creating, or fixing issues that are way above my skill level. He wrote this great post about WordPress sites and a file that may be in your theme that you need to replace. There are some specifics mentioned such as Woothemes and a couple others. Take a look and see if your site is vulnerable to the same thing.
I was told that there are lots of small anti-phishing organizations that work with larger cyber security organizations to protect banks and other big businesses. Also that one of these organizations had contacted and informed them that this site was in violation of phishing scams and that it had to be brought down immediately. They were also told that if they did not remove the content that was in violation that this site could not be brought back up.
