R&B Songstress and Grammy Award nominee Karyn White, returns to the musical stage after 14 years of spreading her wings in other business ventures, successfully raising a child and seeing them enter the college ranks. Her new album “Carpe Diem” signals the return of one the most dynamic r&b voices of the genre.

Who is Karyn White?

Singer/songwriter, Karyn White secured her place in music history with the hit, “Superwoman,” which sold over a million units and was named Billboard R&B Song of the Year in 1989, according to the press release for the new album. White also received multiple nominations for Grammy and Soul Train Music Awards, as well as an NAACP Image Award for Best New Artist in 1989.
