I saw this article from The Next Web about 27 ways to learn to program online. It’s a great article with resources that you can learn to program for free. This has been going along thoughts that I have had for a while regarding education. If you want to learn something bad enough the knowledge is all over the internet for free. There’s not a lot you can’t learn online through various free courses, youtube videos, and even some paid courses. If anything it’s the exact opposite problem where there is actually TOO much information available. Internet Billboards is a great example of a solution to the information overload where the best of the internet can be curated.
Check out the resources in their article if you are interested in learning about programming. There are large universities such as MIT that have old courses available free online from the top educators in the country.
“Whether you are looking to switch careers and become a full-time programmer, want to try to build a website or app on the side, or are just looking to round out your skill set, learning to code has certainly been something a lot of people have started to do lately. And while being a programmer might not be for everyone, there is a lot to be said about gaining a better,
more educated view of how all those pixels get moved around all those screens.”via 27 Ways to Learn to Program Online.
