Curator Tom George: Welcome, a picture is in fact worth a thousand words, however perhaps we should rephrase that nowadays. How about a picture is worth a thousand followers. Perhaps a little tongue in cheek, but with the explosion of image curation sites such as Pinterest, and my new favorite RebelMouse, there is little doubt that we want to see amazing and yes spectacular things.
Before you go photo crazy though, have some idea of what you would like to accomplish with telling your story. No matter what type of brand you have if it is your own personal brand or a company brand, you must have your well thought out story done in advance. In movies they call it storyboarding.
Once you have your story, which by the way doesn’t have to be complete as it will evolve over time, using the image is just another way to tell your story across different platforms and different mediums.
