Cool Tool: Websites Like
Share

Written by : Rachel Parker| 0 | Social Media

Websites LikeAs you may know, I’m a tireless researcher, and sometimes I find myself going back to the same sites over and over. Now, y’all know I love me some Mashable, Social Media Examiner, and Social Media Today … but sometimes it’s nice to mix things up a bit.

Recently the guys over at a new site called Websites Like asked me to check out their app. Websites Like is a free site that offers similar, related or alternative sites to any website you enter. Just type in a URL (or a topic) and you’ll get up to 50 websites to check out.

So I took it for a test drive and I do like what I see. When I entered mashable.com, here were the top five results:

  • Digg (which sort of looked like a sponsored link)
  • TechCrunch
  • TheNextWeb
  • ReadWriteWeb
  • Reddit

Not bad … not perfect, but not bad.

So I’ll definitely keep Websites Like in mind the next time my research pipeline starts looking a little dry.

OK, your turn: Give Websites Like a spin and let us know what you think in the comments!
