Mario Mariani is a Composer and pianist born in Pesaro, in Le Marche Region of Italy in 1970. Graduated at the Conservatory “G. Rossini”.He writes music for movies, TV, cartoons, theatre, chamber and orchestra. He took part at several festivals with his soundtracks: Cannes, Venice, New York and Berlin film festivals, just to name a few. As a performer, he normally expresses himself in a lot of different styles, with particular attention to the many aspects of the improvisation. In 2010 after he received a commission from the Filarmonica Marchigiana for a humoresque orchestral piece called “Bolero 2.0”, he decided to move a step further, staying and living for one month in a cave on the top of the Mount Nerone, between Marche and Umbria regions: he performed in the cave for the entire month just with his grand piano, using a small recording system and sleeping in a tent, offering each day a free unique performance to the audience.
