Joanna specialises in the design and fabrication of mosaic artworks for domestic and public spaces. She recently installed a large series of colourful mosaic wall surface treatments, commissioned by East Lothian Council Architecture Department for the new Primary School in Dunbar.
Joanna received a Scottish Arts Council Creative Development in 2010 and undertook specialist mosaic study at the Scuola Mosaicisti del Friuli in Spilimbergo, Italy. Whilst in Italy she visited a number of mosaic studios and manufacturers, including Orsoni in Venice, as well as sites of both historic and contemporary mosaic. The experience has fed back into her teaching, making her mosaic courses even more enriching to participate in.
I am passionate about Le Marche Region in Italy, follow me to discover it.
