@medifyinc   February is heart disease awareness month. The leading cause of death for both men and women in the United States, heart disease kills more people each year than all cancers combined. And it is a major cause of disability.   The most common heart disease in the United States, coronary heart disease (CHD) is the narrowing of small blood vessels that supply blood and oxygen to the heart. It typically results from the build up of plaque in coronary arteries and often appears as a heart attack.   In 2010, approximately 785,000 Americans had a new heart attack; around 470,000 had a recurrent attack. While some heart attacks are strong and intense, most start slowly with mild pain or discomfort.
