14 Local Chefs’ Favorite Food Travel Destinations

Chris Watson, BRABO
Watson recommends Senigallia, Italy — a coastal town on the Adriatic coast in Le Marche region of Italy, and says his #1 restaurant recommendation would be Uliassi. He says: “One of the best lunches I’ve ever had. It’s local cuisine from the Adriatic. We had the degustation menu, which was six different antipasti, pasta and a dessert.” For something more local, Watson suggests indulging in a cheesesteak from Philadelphia’s Pat’s and Geno’s, or getting off the train in New York City, and enjoying a hot dog from the closest hot dog vendor, topping it with chili, mustard and onions.
