The last day of the year is a good day to look back on the past year. What were our objectives (if we had objectives …), have we reached them? If we don’t, why?
It’s also a good time to reflect on what we want to do in the New Year and realize that we are what we repeatedly do, as Aristotle (and few others) has said so.
“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habitude. Aristotle”
Maybe we should also take this opportunity to repeat ourselves, if necessary, that we are the captain of our existence and that we can decide all the time if we want to be successful and have freedom in our life.
As a leader we should be in this dynamic and we should be all the time on the road to excellence as it is the only one that will lead us to success and do that other people follow us… because, excellence is attractive!
“I don’t believe you have to be better than everybody else. I believe you have to be better than you ever thought you could be. Ken Venturi”
As Ken Venturi says, we must have confidence in our possibilities and surrounding us with people who are better than us; this will move us forward and the whole team around us too.
I wish you a Happy New Year and I look forward to the New Year that promises to be prosperous for all who want to be!
