When the team at GetGlue saw check-ins surging for the new drama “American Horror Story,” they knew it was likely to be a ratings hit for FX. The series, created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (both of “Glee” and “Nip/Tuck” fame), takes the No. 2 spot on our chart this week, coming impressively close to this season’s check-in juggernaut, “The Big Bang Theory” (which has surged in the ratings for CBS this season and also gets a check-in boost thanks to being in syndication).
