We could see Google about to head in a completely new direction, as they have just opened their first retail store, in the UK, calling it the ‘Chrome Zone’. It may not be a fully-fledged store yet, as they’re experimenting with a pop-up shop in a PC World outlet, but it shows the direction that Google is about to go, as they ramp up their efforts in hardware. The pop up stall, which sits in Tottehnam Court Road, London, will stock chromebooks and headphones and will also be a place for staff to inform customers about Google and Chrome. It is due to run until Christmas, with other stores set to open over the next few weeks.
