Color CEO Bill Nguyen announced the new version, timing it to coincide with the Facebook f8 developer conference today. Learning from past mistakes, this new Color app won’t be made available to everyone right away. The app will start off with a closed testing phase among a group of Harvard students, before it opens up to more users. The app is also now tightly integrated with Facebook, taking advantage of the new Open Graph protocol. Introducing the concept of “visits,” the app adds a unique mini broadcasting feature. Lets say if you’re friend is at a concert and they take a snapshot with Color and share it on their Facebook status and you happen to see it in your real-time Ticker and would like to “visit,” then they get a notification to share a live feed with you
