Many times I have been deeply moved when hearing about animal rescues. I have been touched when learning about folks who go out of their way to save a homeless pet that needs a loving home.
But in all the years I have been involved with animals, I can honestly say that the story about the “crazy woman” who shares her life with over 700 cats is one of the most incredible stories I have ever heard. In fact, I can’t believe I missed the series about this very unique cat sanctuary featured on the National Geographic channel this past July.
But it’s better late than never as far as I am concerned. Saving felines is Lynea Lattanzio’s life mission. She runs a 12 acre no-kill shelter named The Cat House on the Kings, which presently is home to more than 700 cats and kittens, and 15 dogs. This incredible sanctuary is located outside of Fresno, California in Parlier.
