In the great tradition that is Lamborghini‘s the new flagship bears the name of a bull, which bears the name Aventator, a fine specimen from the world of the Spanish Corrida. Aventador was a bull bred by the Don Celestino Cuardi Vides family that in October 1993 entered into battle at the Saragossa Arena, earning the “Trofeo de la Pe?a La Madro?era” for the outstanding courage shown during the fight.
The Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 (internally code named LB834 [coupe] and LB835 [roadster]), The Aventatador is a two-door, two-seat sports car which is set to replace the Lamborghini Murci?lago model in the Italian automaker’s lineup. It was launched March 1 at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show. The car features a brand new 6.5 litre V12 engine, producing 691 hp. It was designed by engineer Filippo Perini of Lamborghini Centro Stile under the direction of Lamborghini chief of design Manfred Fitzgerald.
The car was set to perform at 0-62 mph in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph (350 km/h). Lamborghini says that the Aventador is currently setting two generations ahead of anything else on sale, using Formula One-style suspension and a lightweight carbon fibre monocoque.

The amount of cars produced was supposed to be limited to 4000 units (4099 Murci?lagos have been built). The moulds used to make the carbon-fibre monocoque are expected to last 500 units each and only 8 have been made.
