Deciding exactly where to stay in Paris and finding the right area according to your visiting goals and tastes can make or break the accomplishment of the stay within the French capital city. We generally devote a fair quantity of time to accommodation search and that’s crucial but finding out about place and what it has to offer should be the first step of your planning.

No matter what your visiting goals are, romance, shopping, travel with kids or partying, Paris has anything to offer to everyone. However, every Paris area has its very own ambiance and characteristics. In case you are in Paris for romantic and relaxing holidays you might not want to find yourself in the middle of party tough Paris with loud neighborhoods until early inside the morning.

The Le Marais Region in Paris speaks with the rich history and tradition from the city. Marais, the state in which the King Henry II took his last breath, may be the household for some of the most archaic French buildings. The Musee Carnavalet museum has several archaeological discoveries as well as breathtaking historical paintings, sculptures etc. Other eminent museums include-The Musee Cognaq Jay, The Musee de la Serrure Briccard, Musee de la Chasse et de la Nature (famous for stone age weapons) and last but not the least The Musee Picasso that has the worlds largest variety of Picasso paintings. The Jewish Quarter that nestled in the Marais nation and that familiarizes you on the Jewish customs and traditions has always been an apple of each visitor’s eyes.

Saint-Germain-des-Pr?s/Luxembourg area, Paris at its most sophisticated, colourful and arty, lined with extraordinary boutiques which will be hard to resist. It boasts a greater number of “h?tels de charme” than any other component in the city, which speaks for itself, and that’s exactly the sort of hotel a honeymooning couple would choose to stay at, short of selecting a single of the city’s luxury hotels.

The Marais is similar in spirit but is much less spacious, and does not have a park. It also has several “h?tels de charme”, although not extremely so many as Saint-Germain.

Ile Saint-Louis as it is a self-contained miniature of romance, lined with boutiques and eating places of all sorts, and conveniently located for each component of Paris. It has four “h?tels de charme” to choose among and is inside several minutes’ walk from both the Marais, on a Proper Bank, as well as the Latin Quarter on the Left Bank.
