Jean M. Auel’ latest Novel enriched with digital Content by junaio
Heyne Verlag, subsidiary of Random House in Germany, launches today the German edition of Jean M. Auel’s latest novel of her famous Stone Age saga around her heroine Ayla, the main character of the popular series. Special about this edition is that for the first time a print novel has been enriched with digital content to be enjoyed on the Augmented Reality browser junaio.
After checking into the channel “Ayla” and pointing the camera at the book cover, the monolithic stone covered with a prehistoric cave drawing suddenly takes on 3D qualities, then moves away to expose the entrance to a dark cave which the user can now enter in order to admire further cave drawings inside. This fits well with the content and original English title of the novel: “The Land of Painted Caves”.
