Innovators Are Thinkers With Detractors Who Are Critical By Nature

Hi thank you for visiting Internet Billboards, I am the CEO Tom George. What do you think I mean when I say innovators are thinkers with detractors who are critical by nature? I will be happy to explain. First of all, let me offer some encouragement. The race doesn’t always go to the swiftest, the fastest, or the strongest, it is usually won by the one who can hang in there the longest.  Think about our past, go back in time, and think about all the great innovators of the past. Think about the heavy price some paid to bring their innovations to market, to make them the except able norm, then think about the road blocks, the detractors and often times the animosity they were faced with. Their great legacies gave rise to innovations which allow us to enjoy a better quality of life today. These are the things most of us, (myself included) can sometimes take for granted.  The world is moving fast, sometimes I think too fast, and the quality of life and relationships can sometimes be hurt by this new era we are in. Most people will say it is some kind of technological plethora of magical social media star dust. No just kidding most people won’t say that. I think it is a major conundrum, a riddle whose answer is or involves a pun, and perhaps we are the pun.

Some people have their online identity, and their offline identity, others claim to be transparent, while they hide behind a clever smile. Employers now routinely look at the public information about candidates for potential hiring in a way never before imagined. Everyone is a Pulitzer prize winning blogger, with no care about what is best for the betterment of humanity or what if anything is fair use. Everyone’s privacy and identity is in question. You see, when you state the truth it becomes a little scary. It reminds me of A few Good Men when Jack Nicholson says “You want the truth, you can’t handle the truth” great line, one of my personal favorites. Ask yourself can you handle the truth, because before I continue at the risk of sounding like I am going on a rant, here is the Gods honest truth. You are a victim of mass psychology. You have been programmed on a powerful new technological drug, that prays on your fears doubts and insecurities, your vanities and is completely ego driven. You have an insatiable need to compare your life to others, some of whom you call friends, but secretly you just feel the need to be able to keep tabs on them to ensure the quality of their life is no where near as good as yours.  You are in need of a social media intervention.

How do you feel right now? Are you feeling your emotions kick in, perhaps a little truth somewhere in there, if you are feeling angry right about now or an emotional connection, either bad or good with the content, then you understand there is some truth to what I have said. Perhaps you are in denial or maybe you are just not ready to see the light.

What will always matter the most. What will always be at the forefront of importance, is the way we as humans are capable of interacting with one another. When you close your eyes and rest your head on your pillow, how did you interact with your fellow sister or brother today? Did you give it your best? Are we so rapped up in this new era of technology now that we can hardly tolerate anyone?

Faith, tolerance, compassion, peace, understanding, faith, and faith in yourself, in your abilities and in others, these are all the things that are important. A sense of community is important. Building better relationships with others is important. If you cannot trust anyone, no one is ever going to trust you. Take a chance and believe in someone or something. Who do you aspire to? Remember Innovators are thinkers with detractors who are critical by nature. So are you an innovator, or are you someones detractor? Be an innovator, be a thought leader, and although you will face some criticisms, often by people with motives and hidden agendas, truth be told, you will succeed.

I wish you the very best in life and online.

To Success,

Tom George
