The speed in which information is shared now is alarming, for better or worse anything and everything is fair game these days. One thing that has not changed however is the public opinion of corporate America. A companies reputation is still of paramount importance, and a company can live or die by such reputation, but how much of that reputation is in the real world and maintained in the real world and how much is that corporate reputation maintained online and in the media? Companies these days are paying very close attention to what is being said about them on the Internet by such major social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook, and they should.

Their is a paradigm shift taking place in the world of business today that is melding older established business and marketing principles with the new and ever evolving technological and social changes in this new online environment. Attention spans are getting shorter, the average consumer has more power, even in a poor economy, and the vast amount of information out there is just overwhelming. People want things on demand, and do not want to be bothered or interrupted by all the noise. The phenomenon is what I refer to as inbound advertising.

Today more then ever people are fast forwarding through commercials, throwing the junk mail in the trash, using caller ID to block marketing calls, and tend to know more about a company and are much further along in the buying process before they ever even speak with a representative from the company.

So what exactly is inbound advertising? Why should your company partake in this new and exciting way of advertising and branding a company online?  The entire process of an effective inbound advertising campaign is complex and some of it is for our client’s only. I will elaborate the best I can. The bottom line is refuse to adapt and change at your own risk.

Inbound advertising starts with an Internet Billboard which is a micro-site. It is a specially designed site however, and a powerful content management system that allows you to manage and structure content and to become a source of highly relevant content that is specific to your business objectives. We have a special delivery system that we use to share that content and help create a situation for you where you are not only developing leads, and nurturing them, but are also establishing yourslef as an authority on your specific topic and creating a call to action.

Business.com has done a survey and found that over 65% percent of B2B businesses will do an initial search on major search engines to initiate a buying or selection process, and inbound advertising  along with our unique content syndication methods will do absolute wonders for your organic SEO.

So to summarize if you are not taking advantage of inbound advertising and using reputation management to safeguard your business these days you will ultimately find yourself at a serious disadvantage. I encourage you to get in touch with me personally at tomgeorge@internetbillboards.net and I will be happy to get the process started for you. It will end up being the best ROI you will ever get for your business I guarantee it.

Here is what one of our client’s had to say:

“InternetBillboards has been extremely helpful in getting my business greater exposure on the web. In fact, several opportunities to submit client proposals arose from this increased exposure that would not have otherwise been available.”
