Social media marketing is the new frontier in advertising, that along with mobile advertising will rule the roost. What do you think?

I have made several related posts, and if you have not read the post on Mobile Inbound Advertising  check it out because it is informative. I would love to get your feedback.

Anyway moving right along, individual social media networks will add a new dimension to social media marketing and the big player or at least one of the top five, ( I am keeping my cards close to my vest for now), will be SocialGo I think they are top shelf so far.

Here is why this will be the next great trend, in websites and social media, as I predict along with GPS positional based inbound advertising, location based social, and mobile media influx, with the flux capacitor, sorry I couldn’t resist the temptation, that was like some Back to The Future stuff, the flux capacitor made time travel possible, and we won’t cover that in this post.   

So here is the deal. OK Facebook and Twitter are like the Four Seasons of Social networks right. We all love em or hate em. We are all on on best behavior, in our party dresses, drinking Champaigne, how quant right. I suggest there will be like what I call Social Hopping, it’s like bar hopping only in social media. You know sometimes you might want to invite your friends over to your own pad ie your very own social media network, or sometimes you may want to go where no one knows your name, you know perhaps tie one on and let em rip, you know the kind of stuff perhaps a little to risky for the likes of Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIN, you get my drift.

Also take into account the process we all go through to develop meaningful relationships, I mean come on people so you have 5000 friends on Facebook, do you even know 1000 of them, have you ever met any of these people, OK like maybe 10, but it is all just fodder in your little black social media book. Social media will never trump the real world people. Snap back to reality. Most everyone on social media sites is just repeatedly promoting their own junk, or regurgitating the same old headlines I could of got off CNN, and actually did. So without going on a tiraid let me suffice to say that it will all be about a funnel, the levels and layers of social media interaction and trust. Having some people in your own social network will be like having them closer to your inner circle. Let’s face it out of those 5000 Facebook frineds you have, how many would you invite over for dinner? How many would you invite to spend the night, to sleep right down the hall form you. LOL
